U-Meya Coolelo cooperative is a network of women fishermen located in the Port of Chuburn\u00e1, which has been established for 23 years. This group consists of 15 women who are responsible for fishing the chivita snail. In addition to their fishing activities, they are also involved in tourism, as it gives them the opportunity to share their story with local, national, and even international people.<\/p>

 <\/p>

One of their main activities for tourists is the chivitas fishing in \"alijos,\" where they venture into the mangroves to obtain this mollusk. After the activity, they offer different dishes for you to taste. Among them, you can choose the chivitas escabeche, which highlights one of the traditional dishes of the state of Yucat\u00e1n. They also serve other snacks like chivitas empanadas, kibis, and other dishes such as chivitas al ajillo, in cocktails, with vinaigrette, with rice, and even in a traditional queso relleno.
