ELOHIM is a microenterprise founded by a couple: Damari Esquivel and Eddier Canul. They named their products and caf\u00e9 in Peto after this word, which derives from Hebrew and means \"The power of God.\" Bougainvillea petal wine from ELOHIM originated because in Yucat\u00e1n, during the cold season, mothers and grandmothers prepare bougainvillea petal tea with a dash of honey as a palliative for cough and sore throat, as these two ingredients have health benefits. When this couple tried the bougainvillea tea, they fell in love with the flavour, aroma, and especially the colour of the tea. For the production of the wine, they collect bougainvillea petals and combine them with honey and a little cane sugar. The wine obtains a bright pink colour with an alcohol content of 7%. On the palate, you will experience a chilled, slightly sweet beverage with predominant floral flavours and a fruity body. The aftertaste is light, confirming notes of strawberry, raspberry, grapefruit, and roses. It is recommended to pair this wine with ceviche, dishes with salmon, or smoked meats marinated with citrus fruits such as sour orange. It can also be served as an aperitif in a glass or as a start to brunch: a bougainvillea wine spritz. It can function as a digestif after a spicy Yucatecan meal, or you can prepare a delicious bougainvillea wine cocktail with mineral water and a touch of sour orange liqueur. As you can see, you can enjoy it in different ways, so try it and discover your favourite!<\/p>
