In Maxcan\u00fa, delicious peanuts, thick caramelized treats, pumpkin seeds, and other sweets made with peanuts are prepared. These peanuts are harvested in Maxcan\u00fa fields. They are 100% traditional sweets that go through a process of cooking in ashes, peeling, grain selection, and treatment (roasting). In addition, for the caramelized treats, they must be cooked in a pan with sugar, water, and food colouring, and then allowed to dry and take on the flavour we love. This activity was learned by Mr. Juli\u00e1n, along with his wife and brothers-in-law, five years ago from his father-in-law, who obtained the knowledge years ago from his father, whom he watched with great affection making these sweets. It has now become a tradition passed down from generation to generation. Come and taste the wide variety of sweets they have available in different presentations and be amazed by their homemade flavour. You can find them at the Maxcan\u00fa Market as well as at their store located on 25th Street, in the San Patricio neighbourhood.<\/p>
