Today, it is better known as "The Orchard of the State" due to its wide distribution of fruits, citrus fruits, and vegetables from various parts of the Peninsula. Here, you can taste the typical cuisine of Yucatán through breakfast dishes ranging from huevos motuleños to salbutes with relleno negro. In addition to preserving the unmatched flavours of the state, this market also features a large mural painted by the Mayan artist Baas, who wanted to pay tribute to the gastronomy and traditions of Yucatán, as well as the wide variety of fruits obtained from the harvest. You can find this work of art at the entrance of this unique place. Go and enjoy Oxkutzcab and be amazed by the orange fair, which takes place in early December. You will find floats, castles, arches, replicas of churches, and much more, all made from fruits such as oranges, grapefruits, lemons, and tropical fruits.
