Located in the Puerto de R\u00edo Lagartos, the El Maleconcito Gourmet restaurant offers an extensive menu of dishes, one of which is the Aguachile Mayakuya, a delicious Mayan-style octopus with a blend of local citrus fruits, passion fruit, tortilla ash, salt, red onion, and habanero chilli. This aguachile is a mix of Yucatecan ingredients such as lime, lemon, habanero chilli, and Mayan octopus, which is caught from August to December. Including it in the menu supports small producers and fishermen. This dish is the creation of Chef Miguel Ciau, a native of the region, who aims to blend tradition and Mayan culture to provide a unique culinary experience and promote Yucatecan gastronomy and the fusion of flavours that can emerge, just like this dish that you must try.<\/p>
