\"Ixcatik, Tradicional Cocina Maya\" restaurant invites you to experience a culinary journey in an ancestral setting and learn more about the culture through authentic dishes of traditional Maya cuisine. Ixcatik is a space created to share culture and gastronomy through a unique experience. You can learn about the preparation of each ingredient used in their dishes, as the team is willing to share their knowledge with every diner. The cooking techniques and recipes have been passed down by their ancestors, combining ancestral techniques and recipes to achieve an incomparable flavour. In this gastronomic experience, you can enjoy the fresh taste of ingredients harvested from their own garden, as well as organic ingredients from local and regional producers. Their focus is on flavour and quality. Ixcatik defines itself as a local company of Mayan descendants and, therefore, Mayan speakers. They have been recognized as one of the best restaurants of its kind. The small Mayan kitchen where tortillas are made, the food offering to the Mayan gods, the wood-fired oven or \"pib,\" and the cocoa demonstration are the most emblematic spaces of this restaurant.<\/p>
