Tekax\u2019s historic downtown is undoubtedly a must visit for all those who seek to learn more about the cultural richness of the region. The main park has been recently renovated and is one of the only two gated parks in Yucat\u00e1n; the other one is located in Valladolid. You cannot miss the opportunity of visiting the Ermita<\/em>, a chapel built in 1645, on a hill of 262.4 ft of height, which is considered a wonderful look-out. This marvelous experience takes you to a site of the Yucatecan Sierrita<\/em>, where you will have a unique panoramic overview of Tekax<\/em>. From the look-out you can see an extent of territory of green hills and experience a moment of connection with nature, as it has a picnic area.
