Archeological M\u00e9rida, following the Mayas\u2019 footprints, is a natural and cultural tourist service provided by archeologists from the X\u00edimbal K\u2019\u00e1ax \u2013 Caminantes del Monte<\/em> Civil Association, specialists in heritage interpretation. Go in an adventure touring the Eastern Lak\u2019in<\/em> Route, an interpretative tour where you will have the opportunity to visit and learn about ancient pre-Hispanic settlements in the city of M\u00e9rida. It consists of a 5.2 miles tour starting in the south of M\u00e9rida, in which you will visit Salvador Alvarado Sur park, then, you will visit Dzoyil\u00e1 \u201cParque Arqueol\u00f3gico Las Granjas\u201d; San Antonio Kaua \u201cParque Las Tumbas\u201d; Salvador Oriente \u201cParque del Cerrito\u201d<\/em>; and ends up with a tour and free time for activities at Parque Recreativo Oriente \u201cChen H\u00f3\u201d.<\/em><\/p>

The tour is guided and provides updated information about the archeological works done in these sites, and the way pre-Hispanic Mayan people took advantage of the natural landscape. It outstands the importance of its value as cultural heritage and as green areas reserve in the current urban landscape. You will discover different styles of Mayan architecture, like the Puuc<\/em> style, megalithic stone, and coarse stone, as well as the constructive stages and restoration techniques applied, making of the tour an enriching and memorable experience.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>
