Located just one hour from M\u00e9rida, Yaax Tekit<\/em> Cooperative invites you to an approach to daily life in the community to learn about the most representative activities in the region. The tour starts with the visit to an artisan bakery atelier with a stone and firewood oven, where you can participate in the process of preparing some sweet breads like polvor\u00f3n, tuti, conchas<\/em> or tortugas<\/em>.<\/p>

After that, visit the Mayan solar, where you can learn about the agro-ecological production systems. Learn about Melipona<\/em> bees\u2019 production, taste different honey varieties, and finish this first part of the tour with a Yucatecan meal. After lunch, learn about the main activity in the place: Guayaberas <\/em>manufacturing. There, you can see the process to make a traditional piece of clothing, from the moment it is outlined, until it is finally packed. Then, you will surely want to take a souvenir from your visit to Tekit<\/em>; accompanied by the local guide, explore some guayabera shops, where it is possible to buy traditional clothing of high quality, directly from local producers.<\/p>

And, if you want, you can stay and spend the night at \u201cQuinta Mar\u00edas<\/em>\u201d, a place with three houses connected through pathways surrounded by vegetation, a playground, an area with benches, where you can spend a pleasant time under the trees and with access to a shared swimming pool. Next morning, after breakfast, you will have the opportunity to participate in more activities the cooperative has for you.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>
