Yaxunah <\/em>(The First House or The Green House) is a small Yucatecan Mayan Community surrounded by natural beauty and pre-Hispanic vestiges, located near Chich\u00e9n Itz\u00e1<\/em>. Its inhabitants will share to you about their culture and traditions, as well as their way of life in constant contact with nature. In the Mayan Village of Yaxunah<\/em>, they will teach you how to prepare recado rojo<\/em>, with the main ingredient, which is the annatto, using an ancient molcajete<\/em> (Mexican stone mortar and pestle), how to marinate pork, then bury the cochinita<\/em> into the pib<\/em>, and finally, after a brief waiting time you can taste this Yucatecan delicatessen.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>
