Melipona<\/em> bee honey was used for medicinal and nutritional purposes, as well as a sweetener. In Man\u00ed<\/em>, Yucat\u00e1n, people perform rituals like the \u201cU Jaanli kab<\/em>\u201d (the food for bees), and the \u201cU jeets luumil kab<\/em>\u201d (the ideal conditions for honey production), which are firsts to favor good weather and good blooming period in the field, as well as for the coming honey harvest.<\/p>

Cultural survival of the use of products from the bees without a sting among Man\u00ed<\/em> population is firmly underpinned on its participation and management of indigenous herbal medicine, and above all for the participation of women in this activity. Melipona<\/em> bees without sting represent \u201cenvironmental health\u201d for the ecosystems of the Man\u00ed<\/em> population, as they actively participate in the pollination process of most flowering plants.<\/p>

The essence of this tourist product, led by contemporary Mayan women, is the ancient ritual in Mayan language, using honey elements in a natural environment, invoking the four cardinal points.<\/p>

During this tour you will visit the melipona<\/em> bee cultivation place, and luckily you will see a queen bee, you will also taste the delicious, pure, ancient and medicinal melipona<\/em> honey.<\/p>
